My name is Maryam. I am known as Mary Magdalene to many. From ancient times, I have been. The mystery schools of Egypt, and before, were filtered into the stories and mythologies that became recorded and redrafted in the new images of the time in Palestine at the beginnings of the masculine ascendancy and dominance, when the old stories were rewritten and recreated, and fabricated into what has become the “truth” you now believe and call the “Bible” – whether it is old or new, Jewish or Christian. For I have been from the beginning. I was worshipped as Isis and I was high priestess of Isis. I was consort, companion and co-equal with the son god and the moon goddess; as the sun god’s shadow, as the representative of the divine feminine, as the mother, the whore and the crone. There was only one Mary, throughout time; Mar Yam, “bitter sea” – the original sister of Moses, Miriam, the queen of heaven, the daughter, mother, grandmother of the forgotten times when the feminine ruled the world, and there was peace and there was a flourishing of art and commerce and trade and creativity; before the sword and the spear and the enslavement of the “soft” in the service of the dominant male paradigm that now runs the world and has become exhausted and toxically ineffective.
So many turn to “me”, to “us”, the nurturing element of the Universe now, for some relief, for some resolution, rebalancing, recognition and re-membering a world where the sword and the weapons no longer rule. The new world is emerging. The universes that you know, are powered by duality; the flow of electrons between a positive and a negative polarity, the yin-yang of creation, the pulse of vitality through atom and molecule that is fueled by the transmission of God’s love and divine spark into the divine human receptacle of human body and consciousness; the constant flow of creativity from birth to destruction, from dissolution to recreation, an unending flow.
And so too, the times have come to where you are witnessing the flip of the switch, the reversal of polarities, the swing of the worlds, the new world coming, the return of peace, and the worship of the Goddess and the honoring of the God, working in balance, in union, without effort, allowing the flow of electrons, ideas, heart threads and the return of love. This is your true heritage. This is the unfolding you are now in. So celebrate the struggle, because it is part of the transformation of a universe that has been sitting on its head and has now been moved back into a more balanced alignment, but planted onto the Earth, eyes to the stars, hearts pointed in all directions to reclaim community, harmony, peace and recognition of interconnectedness. Wikipedia: Being originally the name of Miriam, the name may have originated from the Egyptian language, like possibly Moses; it is likely derivative of the words mry “beloved” or mr “love” or the derived ancient Egyptian name Meritamen or Meri-Amun, “beloved of the God Amun”. Other suggestions include the word root m-r-r “bitter” (cf. myrrh), or the Hebrew root (מרי m-r-y) “rebellious”, or even possibly “wished-for child”, or “strong waters”. Maryam is also a name of a flower (tuberose) in the Persian language.
